GET TO KNOW ME |
Hello, I’m Diane.
|
Hello, my name is Diane Elyse Clayton.
Currently, I am an Early Childhood Education Assistant for the YMCA of Greater Toronto. I am passionate about early childhood development and I am working towards completing my Early Childhood Education Diploma through Durham College. I am a graduate of the Children's Mental Health Certificate Program, also from Durham College. I have a passion for working with children, particularly those who have experienced trauma or present with more challenging behaviours, and offering positive guidance strategies to help them acheive their potential. |
Bringing my passions into the classroom!
In addition to being passionate about Early Childhood Education, I have other passions as well. I love spending time in nature, especially by the water, and practicing meditation. I enjoy traveling both locally and around the world. I am often watching and participating in sports including softball and sailing, expressing my creativity through arts, crafts, and interior design, or listening to music and visiting festivals and concerts as often as possible.

Finally, one of my greatest passions is of course my family which includes my husband and our two energetic Goldendoodles, Maui and Ocean. I love being able to pull from my own personal experiences and incorporate that knowledge into the learning environment when working with children.
I believe that diversity is a beautiful thing so being able to share what makes me unique inspires and welcomes children and their families to do the same. |
